Responsibilities

• setting up and operating conventional lathes (from time to time also milling machines)
• work based on technical drawing
• machining and manufacturing of metal components for marine equipment in accordance with quality standards
• checking finished products for accuracy and quality, making corrections if necessary
• performing repairs on ships or structures
• making new, non-standard machine tool parts (usually large elements)
•  work from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Fridays 8:00-14:30

Wanted competences

• specific education 
• several years of experience as a conventional lathe or milling machine
• ability to use measuring tools (micrometer, compass, caliper, etc.)
• knowledge of English at B2-C1 level
• technical sense and ability to recognize faults
• ability to read technical drawings
• flexibility (possibility to work in the evenings or on weekends)
• Category B driving license – preferred

• employment on Belgian conditions
• rate €17-€20/h 
• salary paid monthly
• guaranteed 38 hours of work per week
• possibility of overtime – on average 7-12 hours a week, paid 150%
• holiday allowance – 15.38% of gross annual earnings
• annual bonus – 8.33% of annual gross earnings – provided that you work a minimum of 65 days in the period from July this year to June the following year
• possibility of using company accommodation – 99€/week double room, 149€/week single room
