Responsibilities

• leading a team of 18-20 people
• providing efficient and high-quality ship repairs in our dry docks

• cooperation with the project leader and team coordinator in mechanical and welding projects on board ships
• organization of administrative tasks, checking commissioned works and ordered materials (no complicated calculations and valuations – only practical work)
• supervising various shipyards and works and consulting with the client
• Depending on the specific project, supervising different people in the dry dock, i.e.  subcontractors and welders
• work mainly outdoors
• work from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Wanted competences

• min. 5 years of experience in ship repairs
• experience in mechanics, machine construction or metal structures
• welding experience
• knowledge of English at B2-C1 level
• prepare for physical work outdoors in all weather conditions
• ability to lead a team
• problem-solving skills
• flexibility (possibility to work in the evenings or on weekends)
• Category B driving license – preferred

we offer

• employment on Belgian conditions
• rate 17€ – 20€ gross/h
• salary paid monthly
• guaranteed 38 hours of work per week
• possibility of overtime – on average 7-12 hours a week, paid 150%
• holiday allowance – 15.38% of annual gross earnings, i.e. approx. €5,230-€6,150 – gross
• annual bonus – 8.33% of annual gross earnings – provided that you work a minimum of 65 days in the period from July this year to June the following year, i.e. approx. €2,830-€3,330 gross
