Responsibilities

• ensuring the continuity of operation of 14 weaving machines by quickly solving technical problems and machine failures according to a color code system distinguishing between those that require the intervention of the main technician (orange codes), and those that can be operated by weavers (green codes)
• implementing any necessary adjustments or new settings in accordance with the plans or instructions provided. It is primarily computer controlled, but sometimes mechanical knowledge will be required. e.g., recognizing inappropriate patterns
• direct contact with weavers and supporting them in operating machines
• conducting regular maintenance to prevent downtime and optimize performance
• Assist R&D manager in organizing the configuration of weaving machines and weaving samples
• conducting weaving analysis and contributing to quality improvement
• work in two shifts (1st shift 6.00-14.00 and 2nd shift 14.00-22.00) or permanent night shift (22.00-06.00)

Wanted competences

• experience as a weaving machine technician or technician in the textile industry (with both automatic and mechanical weaving machines)
• communicative knowledge of English
• physical work in motion (walking between machines)
• ability to diagnose  and solving mechanical problems in weaving machines

• knowledge of operating and adjusting weaving machines

• ability to understand and interpret weaving patterns and yarn types

• communication skills and ability to cooperate in teams of 2-3 people

• driving license category B and car preferred

we offer

• long-term employment on Belgian conditions
• rate 19.20€ – 21.35€ gross/h (depending on experience)
• remuneration paid on a weekly basis; shift I and II €580-€640 net/week shift III €650-€720 net/week
• shift allowance: +6% 1st and 2nd shift €20.35 – €22.63 gross/h; +20% 3rd shift €23.04 – €25.62 gross/h
• holiday allowance – per year it will amount to approximately €5,900-6,570 gross (15.38% of annual gross earnings)
• annual bonus – per year it will amount to approximately €3,200-3,560 gross (8.33% of annual gross earnings) – provided that you work a minimum of 65 days in the period from July of the current year to June of the following year
• guaranteed 38 hours of work per week
• possibility of using company accommodation – €99/week (double room), €149/week (single room)
