Job description:

We are  looking for construction site foremen with a strong electrical background to lead their project construction sites. Experience on construction sites is a must, and the capacities to lead and coach  team.

Responsibilities:

• detecting additional work and changes (for example, if the clients asks for more than originally drawn up, the planning has to be adjusted and the client has to be contacted)
• getting work orders (assignments for subcontractors) signed off
• checking on the quality of the delivered work
• making sure the invoices we receive are valid
• watch over the efficiency of your own teams (subcontractors, and own staff)

II Technical:

• technical control in accordance with implementation
• follow up on the performance and execution of the project (solve possible mistakes made)
• attend site meetings at the request of the project manager
• follow up on the quality
• respect the test procedures
• preparing everything is ready for inspection
• testing all that is necessary before the inspection
• detailed controlling of the execution of the project
• detailed controlling of the functionality

III Organizational:

• monitor the construction site cleanliness
• create an equipment list (when will we need which materials?)
• monitor the equipment flow on the construction site
• make a planning for when which materials are needed
• order extra materials when necessary, and safely store materials
• monitor the tools on the construction site 
• create and follow up on the construction site schedule.
• monitor and report safety hazards to the project manager and the prevention advisor

IV Coaching:

• watch over the discipline on the construction site (punctuality, work rhythm, break time, cell phone use)
• be a role model for your colleagues
• settle in and onboard new employees
• take care of your team

• employment on Belgian conditions
• monthly salary  €2,500 -€3,000 net/month
• guaranteed 40 hours a week
• company car (a small van and fuel card to travel to work), and laptop/computer

Requirements:

Your profile:

• a technical bachelor degree in electromechanics or electricity is a must
• advanced knowledge of electricity. You need to have the superior knowledge on the construction site
• you can read electrical plans
• good and clear English or French skills at B2-C1 level, this is the language you will communicate in
• at least 5 years of experience working on construction sites in a leading role
• willing to work in a hands-on function on a construction site
• valid driving license category B and experience in driving
