Responsibilities

• work as a machine operator in the metallurgical industry, specifically in reinforcement wire production

• monitor the production line to prevent wire breakage

• respond to machine failures in case of wire breakage, such as untangling the wire

• cut rolls and remove rusty parts

• inspect machine samples and report any issues to the foreman

• strictly follow safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. The employer will provide complete protective gear, including hearing protection, safety glasses, overalls, safety footwear, and gloves. For safety reasons, jewelry is not allowed.

• work in a workshop (dust, noise, and elevated temperatures in the summer)

• work on a two-shift schedule: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, or a permanent night shift from 22:00-06:00

Required Skills

• technical education – preferred

• experience as a machine operator in the metalworking or construction industry

• strict adherence to health and safety regulations (H&S)

• basic knowledge of English

• category B driving license

• ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to the production line

• willingness to work in a physically demanding environment with noise and dust

• diligence and precision

• long-term employment under Belgian conditions.

• guaranteed 38 hours of work per week

• hourly rate: €15.96 gross/hour; +10% shift allowance for morning and afternoon shifts (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00), (that’s €17.55 gross/hour) and +20% night shift allowance (that’s €19.15 gross/hour.) Weekly salary: €440 – €480 net/week

• overtime opportunities, paid at +50%

• holiday allowance – approximately €4750-€5695 gross per year (15.38% of annual gross earnings)

• annual bonus – approximately €2570-€3085 gross per year (8.33% of annual gross earnings), subject to working at least 65 days between July of the current year and June of the following year

• option for company accommodation: 2-person room: €102/week, 1-person room: €154/week

• meal voucher: €5.17 for each working day (after 6 months of employment). Employee contribution: €1.09

• optional additional health insurance: €10/month

• the company is closed for the first 3 weeks of August (summer vacation period)
