Responsibilities

• proper preparation of the team (setting the sequence of work, planning efficiency and ensuring the availability of tools and materials)
• assigning work based on established schedules and supervising the quality and quantity of performed tasks
• leading a group of pipe fitters and TIG welders, ensuring that they perform their work competently and accurately
• ensuring work safety
• compliance with safety rules and company regulations
• maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace
• providing instructions and tips
• monitoring and supervising the progress and quality of work
• using acquired knowledge and skills in practice and continuous improvement of one’s own abilities
• reporting work-related problems on an ongoing basis and thinking proactively
• contributing to increased efficiency and promoting company goals

Wanted competences

• specific education (minimum technical school)
• minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in steel structures (preferred in the maritime industry)
• proficient ability to independently read technical drawings
• willingness to work in the evenings or on weekends
• VCA VOL certificate or willingness to obtain it
• problem-solving skills
• good knowledge of Dutch and/or English
• leadership and motivational skills
• readiness to travel to other locations as part of project implementation
• ability to work in a team
• interpersonal skills in contact with colleagues and clients
• category B driving license
